Sweepers Grind Out 2-1 Win
The Atlanta Aggies and Nashua Sweepers provided some drama for the home crowd.

Bobby Lucero pitched well enough to win, but it was not to be. The Atlanta Aggies, despite Lucero's fine outing, dropped a 2-1 decision to the Nashua Sweepers at Miller Park. Glen Foster stitched up the save, his 28th.

Nashua took the lead, 2-1, on Joe Pettit's 16th home run of the season. The solo home run came off Atlanta pitcher Bobby Lucero in the bottom of the seventh.

"We had the right guys up at the right times," said Atlanta manager Jeremiah Simpson. "We just didn't cash in."

The Sweepers sit in second place in the Southern A East Division with a record of 64-56.
