The Mexico City Aztecs topped the Pueblo Heroes, 9-7, with youngster Bill Gonzalez playing a key role. Gonzalez was 2 for 5 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for the Aztecs in the win. Mexico City reliever Joey Dykema was the winner. His record is now 1-1. Dallas Price took the loss. The victory gives Mexico City a record of 90-31.

Mexico City got a knockout punch from Omar Snell. The left fielder hammered a grand slam home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"This win gets us that much closer to where we want to be," Snell said in postgame remarks.
