The White Deer Tropics got a strong performance from pitcher Willie Gonzales, who stymied the Columbus offense en route to a win, 5-2, at Ballpark of White Deer. With the victory, the Tropics record stands at 60-60.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the 12th for White Deer. That's when Preston Hoffman hit a 3-run home run off 20-year old right-handed pitcher Josh Adams to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

Gonzales said this kind of win gives the team "a buzz."
