Sweepers Earn 6-0 Win Versus Bangor
The Nashua Sweepers went home winners at Miller Park, thanks in large part to starter Gary Lutz. Lutz stifled the Bangor Lumberjacks, enabling Nashua to grab the 6-0 win. Lutz yielded no runs over 5.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 1, and struck out 1. His record improves to 4-5. The 5th-place Lumberjacks dropped to 59-63.

Jose Corona had a big 2-run home run for the Sweepers in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Nashua leading 2-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a splitter from 23-year old right-handed pitcher Mike Reich and punished it. The result was his 3rd home run of the season, which put the Sweepers on top, 4-0.

Lutz said his team "played with determination."
