Werewolves Suffer 3-2 Home Defeat
The Dollywood Partons eked out a 3-2 win versus the London Werewolves at Werewolves Ballpark. Nobody did more than pitcher Matt Osborne. He was terrific. Osborne, now 8-1, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 3, walking 0, and allowing 1 run. The first-place Partons, at 89-30, lead the Southern A East Division by 24½ games.

Dollywood won the game in part because of Cody Lilley. The left fielder ripped a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Partons ahead, 3-1. For the game, Lilley had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.

Osborne attributed the win to his team's "grittiness."
