Partons Roll to 9-3 Win Over Bowsers
The first-place Dollywood Partons took on the Columbus Bowsers in front of a spirited crowd.

Good production from right fielder Jim Dauphin helped the Dollywood Partons topple the Columbus Bowsers, 9-3. Dauphin went 1 for 3 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Partons. The win went to Kevin Kerns in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Hector Flores took the loss.

Rich Callanan had a big 2-run double for the Partons in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Dollywood leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Hector Flores, who is tied for 6th in the S-A with a 9.3 K/9 rate, and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 1st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Partons ahead, 3-0.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Dauphin.

The 4th-place Bowsers have lost 7 consecutive games.
