Columbus pitcher David Procaccini did his part in helping his team defeat the Dollywood Partons, 5-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Columbus occupies third place in the Southern A East Division at 68-49.

The Bowsers got a big at-bat from right fielder Mike Seals. For the game, Seals was 1 for 3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 13th double of the season gave Columbus a 2-0 lead.

"David did a good job of managing their lineup," said Columbus manager Joe Mills.
