Comets Subdue Louisville, 6-4
|
Tristan Bossard did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Louisville Sweepers from being beaten, 6-4, to the Kalamazoo Comets at Miller Park. Bossard was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. Earning the save was Tomas Herrera. He's now cashed in 3 of 3 save opportunities. Kalamazoo's record now stands at 50-64, placing them 5th in the Southern A East Division.
Kalamazoo used a clutch at-bat from Mike Petty to capture the win. The center fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Comets ahead, 5-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"Anything I can do to help the team win," said Petty.
