The Quebec Fighting Quakers got a good effort from starter Ray Fight in defeating the Palm Springs Heat at Toros Ballpark. The final score was 8-2. The Fighting Quakers bumped their record to 55-49 with this latest triumph.

In the bottom of the first, 22-year old right fielder Todd Stevens hit a 2-run double. The 7th double of the season for the Quebec right fielder put the Fighting Quakers on top, 2-0.

Said Palm Springs manager Rogelio Sanchez: "They did a lot of things right. We did a lot of things wrong."
