The home crowd had a good time watching the Dillonvale Indians and Ann Arbor Z's get after it.
Ann Arbor turned a good effort from starter Joe Bernard into a win over the Dillonvale Indians at Knights Ballpark. The final score was 6-0. Bernard yielded no runs over 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 1, and struck out 2. His record improves to 2-3.
Tim Baggett had a big 3-run home run for the Z's in the bottom of the second inning. With Ann Arbor leading 3-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he sized up a fastball from 27-year old left-handed pitcher Braden Shaw and punished it. The result was his 4th home run of the season, which put the Z's on top, 6-0.
"Joe made some big pitches when he needed to," said Z's manager Bryan Gallegos.
The 5th-place Z's have won 4 in a row.
