Randolph and Ann Arbor duked it out and the Prairie Thunder came out victorious.

In a low-scoring tilt between the Randolph Prairie Thunder and the Ann Arbor Z's, Tony Espinoza, who is tied for 6th in the StC in complete games with 1, was the difference-maker. The Randolph right-hander spearheaded the 3-1 win. The Prairie Thunder now own a record of 50-51.

Dave Abplanalp had a big 2-run home run for the Prairie Thunder in the bottom of the third inning. With Randolph leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a sinker from Jeff Mitchell, who is tied for 4th in the StC in wins with 9, and swatted a home run to left-center. It was his 10th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Prairie Thunder ahead, 3-0.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Abplanalp said after the game.
