Starting pitcher Brent Stedronsky gave the Quebec Aces a rock-solid effort. The Santa Rosa, California native helped his team defeat the New Rochelle Purple Wave, 3-2, at Belmont Park. Stedronsky picked up the win for Quebec, going 7.1 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 5-10. Travis Espinoza got the save, the 28th for him this season.

With two out in the bottom of the third, Eric Barrett barreled up a fastball from Pat Daughtry. The result was a solo home run, putting the Aces in front, 3-1.

After the game, Quebec manager Arturo Rivera applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
