Quebec Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
Quebec Fighting Quakers starter Nick Beck found his groove in his team's 4-3 win over the Palm Springs Heat. Brian Hammond, credited with the win in relief, is now 1-1. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1 innings. The Heat, at 42-59, have lost 4 in a row.

Batting in the bottom of the ninth, 24-year old catcher Sam Neeley had a real shot to win the game. Palm Springs pitcher B.J. Rudolph was determined not to let it happen. But with two outs, Neeley hit a run-scoring single. The Fighting Quakers had a walk-off triumph.

"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Quebec manager Jeff Gray. "It's usually not just one thing."
