Soggy conditions did not keep Pueblo and Dollywood from playing their scheduled game.

The Pueblo Heroes defeated the Dollywood Partons, 6-2, at Dolly Parton Ballpark. Leading the charge for Pueblo was third baseman Alex Mieles. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Phil Shull, the winner, is now 9-3. He struck out 6 and walked 2 over 5 innings, while allowing 2 runs on 6 hits.

Pueblo took a 6-2 lead on Mieles's 14th double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which he hit off Justin Tillman in the top of the sixth, propelled Pueblo to the win.

Mieles told a Pueblo Chronicle reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.

Pueblo, at 76-40, sits in second place in the Southern A East Division.
