Lumberjacks Rally to Nose Past Columbus
Led by Skyler Fundis, the Bangor Lumberjacks defeated the Columbus Bowsers, 8-7. Fundis went 2 for 5 with 2 home runs and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 3 for the Lumberjacks. Bangor reliever Colby Heim picked up the win, while Adam Matthews took the loss for Columbus. At 83-33, the Lumberjacks have a slim two-game lead in the Southern A East Division.

Bangor used a timely hit from Chris Wunderlich to get the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Lumberjacks ahead, 8-7. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"Time to decompress after a tough win," said Wunderlich.
