The Dollywood Partons besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Nashua second baseman Matt Jackson by beating the Sweepers, 6-5, at Dolly Parton Ballpark. Jackson was 2-3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Justin Tillman notched the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3 innings. His record now sits at 1-0. The setback makes Nashua 60-56.

The game-ending blow was delivered by Colby Freese in the bottom of the ninth. That's when he hit a run-scoring double off 19-year old right-handed pitcher Carlos Palmas to win it for Dollywood and cause the home crowd to erupt in celebration.

"It was a solid, all-around game for us," said Dollywood manager Adam Freeman.
