At Ballpark of Bangor, Travis Hammen of the Kalamazoo Comets put on a hitting clinic. He banged out 5 hits in 6 at-bats and mauled the Bangor Lumberjacks pitching staff, but Kalamazoo still came up short on the scoreboard.

The Comets went home with the 12-6 loss, in spite of a standout 5-hit performance from their left fielder.

"Hey, it's great to get that many hits in a game, but it would have been nice to win the game, too," Hammen said in the postgame interview.
