Nashua beat Long Beach on the strength of starting pitcher Rogelio Camarillo's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a win, 4-3. The Sweepers saw their win-loss record go to 40-73. At the same time, the Keys fell to 40-73.

In the bottom of the third inning, left fielder Jeff May had a 2-run double for Nashua. It was his 24th double of the season and put the Sweepers on top, 2-1.

Camarillo called the win a testament to his team's "tenacity."
