Z's Get Clutch Win, 5-4
The Ann Arbor Z's and the Spokane Selects played into extra innings before the winner was determined. The Z's won it, 5-4, in 14 innings. In the game, Ann Arbor shortstop Nick Rucker was 3-5 with a triple, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Joe Woolverton picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-1. Mike Strasser was tagged with the loss. The win elevated the Z's to 56-43.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 14th inning, when Ann Arbor center fielder Jeff Wise, facing Mike Strasser, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Z's the 5-4 win.

"Great to get the crowd on its feet," Wise said.
