In a low-scoring contest between the Spokane Selects and the Ann Arbor Z's, Travis Salopek was the X factor. The Spokane right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Joseph Scale was called on to finish, recording his 10th save. At 51-47, the Selects find themselves in third place in the Stripes Conference West Division.

Ian McKibbins had a direct impact on the outcome. McKibbins contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the fifth inning to put Spokane up, 3-2.

"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Ann Arbor skipper Brock Fullington.
