Purple Wave Knock Off Prairie Thunder at Prairie Thunder Ballpark

The New Rochelle Purple Wave defeated the Randolph Prairie Thunder by the score of 7-4, with the biggest share of the credit going to left fielder Kyle Stansberry. Stansberry went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for the Purple Wave on the day. Earning his 14th save of the year was Keith Hawes. The 4th-place Purple Wave are now 52-47, the Prairie Thunder 48-51.
New Rochelle took a 7-4 lead on Stansberry's 10th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Edwards Sandoval in the top of the seventh, propelled New Rochelle to the win.
"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Stansberry.
