Behind a solid performance from shortstop Mike Johnson, the Quebec Aces defeated the Dillonvale Indians, 6-3. Johnson went 1 for 2 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Aces. The win was credited to 28-year old right-handed pitcher Ken Springer in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Jesus Garcia took the loss. Travis Espinoza locked down his 27th save.

Johnson had a crucial hit for Quebec with two out in the bottom of the fourth. With Quebec trailing 1-0, Johnson hit a grand slam home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Aces ahead, 4-1.

"We just can't get over the hump," said losing manager Markus Mensink.

The misery never ends for the Indians, who've lost 10 in a row.
