Prairie Thunder Deal New Rochelle 6-4 Defeat
|
The Randolph Prairie Thunder beat the New Rochelle Purple Wave, 6-4, at Prairie Thunder Ballpark. The Prairie Thunder got a fine performance from third baseman Jason Lehman, who went 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Ray Barone picked up the win, lifting his record to 6-7 on the season. He struck out 4 and walked 3 in 5.1 innings, while yielding 1 run. At 48-50, the Prairie Thunder are currently 5th in the Stripes Conference East Division.
Randolph took a 6-1 lead on Lehman's 8th home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which he hit off Landon Gross in the bottom of the sixth, propelled Randolph to the win.
"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Lehman told the Randolph Gazette.
