The Ann Arbor Z's could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Jeremy Schroeter into a win. Instead, the Orono Oaks prevailed, 2-1. Schroeter threw 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball. The second-place Oaks have won 6 straight.

Had Mark Harris not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Harris hit a 2-run single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Oaks.

"Good ballgame," said Ann Arbor manager Bryan Gallegos. "But we came up on the short end."
