Aces Defeat Indians, 6-4
|
Thanks in large part to third baseman Andy Gatz, the Quebec Aces clipped the Dillonvale Indians, 6-4, in 10 innings. Gatz was 2-4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. The last-place Indians have lost 9 consecutive games.
The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the tenth, with Quebec trailing 4-3, Gatz hit a fastball from Jim Unknown for a 3-run home run, giving the Aces the walk-off win.
"It's a satisfying feeling, to win like we did," said Gatz.
