The Ann Arbor Z's knocked off the Denver Pilots, 10-3, in Stripes Conference action at Knights Ballpark. Ann Arbor pitcher and El Pozo, Dominican Republic, native Pedro Benitez had an outstanding performance. Benitez picked up the win for Ann Arbor, going 7.2 innings. He gave up 1 run on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 8-8. The win has Ann Arbor at 37-62.
Rocky Ruschak hit a bases-clearing double off Tom Capasso in the bottom of the second, which put the Z's in front, 3-0. In addition to the double, Ruschak had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 3.
