Storm Come Up Short at Barrie, 4-3
|
The Barrie Admirals did just enough to sneak past the Lake Elsinore Storm, 4-3, at Stadia de Leones. Barrie third baseman David Nevarez, in particular, had a standout performance. Ryan Olsen picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 4-3. Jim Unknown suffered the loss. With the victory, the Admirals record stands at 68-45.
Barrie took a 4-3 lead on Adam Davis's 13th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Davis hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Lake Elsinore pitcher Jim Unknown visibly frustrated.
"I give credit to my teammates for this win. We got it done," Davis told the Barrie Today.
