The Bangor Lumberjacks got a marvelous performance from pitcher Mike Lopez. The right-hander kept the Pueblo offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 4-2 Bangor victory at Ballpark of Bangor. Lopez yielded 2 runs over 5.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 1, and struck out 4. His record improves to 7-5. Chris Hall was credited with the save, his 9th in 10 tries.

David Manly took Pueblo hurler Wes Gordon deep in the bottom of the first. His 2-run home run put the Lumberjacks on top, 3-1. In all, Manly had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

Lopez told a Bangor Times reporter that the win made him feel "upbeat about our team."

The Lumberjacks, at 55-58, inhabit 5th place in the Southern A East Division.
