New Rochelle wasted a solid 6.1-inning effort from starting pitcher Kevin Clinger, losing to Quebec, 2-0, at Ballpark of Lexington. Picking up his 3rd save was 28-year old left-handed pitcher Brian Hammond. The Fighting Quakers raised their record to 53-46.

Quebec used the timely hitting of Andy Brewer to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Fighting Quakers on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

Said New Rochelle manager Brent Boudreau: "We weren't able to do much."
