Starting pitcher Kyle Connell pitched well enough to help the Quebec Fighting Quakers beat the New Rochelle Purple Wave, 8-5. Ross Lefkowitz wrapped it up, recording his 3rd save. The Fighting Quakers bumped their record to 52-46 with this win.

In the top of the third, 25-year old third baseman Julio Herrera hit a 2-run home run. The 11th home run of the season for the Quebec first baseman put the Fighting Quakers on top, 2-0.

"That was a really good outing by Kyle," said Quebec manager Jeff Gray.
