Willison Goes Off, But Sweepers Win
Jake Willison had a good game, but he could not keep the Columbus Bowsers from falling, 10-8, to the Louisville Sweepers at Ballpark of Columbus. The Columbus left fielder hit 2 home runs. He scored 4 times and drove in 3 in the loss. The winner in relief was Andrew Payne. He is now 5-1. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. Ken Yates picked up the save for Louisville, his 4th of the year.

Louisville used the hitting of Dave Wilson to pick up the win. The catcher clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Sweepers on top, 8-3. For the game, Wilson had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"It wasn't a pretty victory," said Wilson, "but we got it done."

With the win, Louisville has a record of 49-61. Columbus falls to 50-60.
