The Dollywood Partons used a top-flight performance from Adam Hazen, who is tied for 5th in the S-A with a 3.07 ERA, to beat the Kalamazoo Comets, 1-0, in 11 innings. Dollywood reliever Andy Roberts snagged the win, upping his record to 3-1. Kevin Martinez shouldered the loss. Gregg Daugherty, who is tied for 7th in the S-A in saves with 14, earned the save for Dollywood.

Dollywood used the clutch hitting of Angelo de la Cruz to snag the win. The shortstop drilled a solo home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Partons ahead, 1-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.

"It's about putting our team in the best position to win ballgames," said Hazen.

The Partons saw their record improve to 81-27.
