The performance of Lance Parrent proved critical in helping Dollywood beat Bangor, 6-5. The Partons first baseman went 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI. The win belonged to Andy Roberts in relief. His record improves to 3-1. George Harris took the loss for Bangor. Dollywood, at 81-27, is 10½ games up in the Southern A East Division.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With no one out, Parrent hit a fastball from George Harris for a run-scoring single. The Partons, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
