Bowsers Get 4-3 Win Versus London
|
The Columbus Bowsers had to overcome a fine effort from London pitcher Jim Autore to win, 4-3, at Ballpark of Columbus. Autore went 8 innings and allowed 4 runs. The defeat makes London 59-47.
The Bowsers got a big at-bat from first baseman Cesar Berrios. For the game, Berrios went 1 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a grand slam home run. His 19th home run of the season gave Columbus a 4-0 lead.
Berrios called the win "a team effort."
