Admirals Get Clutch Win Versus Columbus
The Admirals faced a stiff challenge from Columbus pitcher Kevin Cloud, but persevered to claim a win at Stadia de Leones. The final score was 1-0. Cloud went 5 innings and allowed no runs. The loss makes Columbus 48-58.

Up to bat in the bottom of the ninth, 20-year old third baseman Josh Gillespie had a chance to be the hero. Columbus pitcher Joey Byler wanted to foil that plan. But with no outs, Gillespie hit a sacrifice fly. The Admirals had themselves a thrilling win.

"That's baseball," said Columbus manager Joe Mills. "Sometimes the other team plays better than yours."
