The Weedpatch Widowmakers defeated the Barrie Admirals, 7-4, at Stadia de Leones. Weedpatch was led by 23-year old right fielder Mike Winchel, who went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Oliver Wood was credited with the save, his 21st in 23 tries. With the win, the Widowmakers hiked their record to 55-52.

With Weedpatch leading 3-0 in the top of the third, Winchel hit a cutter from Danny Cortez for a 2-run home run. It was his 23rd home run of the season and put the Widowmakers ahead, 5-0.

Weedpatch manager Tony Velez was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys went out there and put good wood on the ball," he said.
