The Columbus Bowsers wanted a good start from David Procaccini -- and he delivered one. The result was a 6-2 Columbus win over the Bangor Lumberjacks at Ballpark of Bangor. Chad Iverson collected his 2nd save. With the win over Bangor, the Bowsers improved to 61-46.

The Bowsers got a big at-bat from center fielder Jesse Rupp. For the game, Rupp went 1-5 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 13th home run of the season gave Columbus a 2-0 lead.

"David throwing strikes, pounding the zone, that is exactly what you want to see," said Columbus manager Joe Mills.
