The Nashua Sweepers did just enough to sneak past the Lake Elsinore Storm, 2-1, at Miller Park. Nashua pitcher Jose Zapata, in particular, had a standout performance. The win went to Andrew Rogers in relief. His record improves to 2-2. Brian Sanborn took the loss. The Sweepers improved their record to 57-49 by beating Lake Elsinore.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the ninth for Nashua. That's when Mario Carrillo hit a solo home run off 19-year old left-handed pitcher Brian Sanborn to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"We found a way to win tonight," Carrillo said.
