Comets Lose By a Run at Barrie
|
Barrie beat Kalamazoo on the strength of starting pitcher Graham Renner's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 2-1. The Comets, now 29-75, have lost 4 in a row.
The Admirals got a big at-bat from center fielder Bill Molohon. For the game, Molohon was 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 20th home run of the season gave Barrie a 2-1 lead.
"There are no moral victories," said losing manager Sam Furfari.
