Sweepers Sneak By Werewolves, 5-4
Fans witnessed a whale of a game between the Nashua Sweepers and London Werewolves.

The Nashua Sweepers did just enough to sneak past the London Werewolves, 5-4, at Werewolves Ballpark. Nashua pitcher Sean Conant, in particular, had a standout performance. The second-place Sweepers go to 55-48.

Nashua needed the clutch hitting of Mike Middlebrooks to seal the deal. The designated hitter swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Sweepers on top, 4-3. For the game, Middlebrooks had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"Very pleased with the effort on our side," said Middlebrooks.
