Heroes Pin 5-2 Loss on Bangor

The Pueblo Heroes picked up a win at Heroes Ballpark, dropping the Bangor Lumberjacks, 5-2. Jon Caruso was the difference-maker. Their 66-37 record puts the Heroes second in the Southern A East Division.
Andre Jackson had a big bases-clearing double for the Heroes in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Pueblo leading 2-1 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Jamie Knudson and swatted a double to right. It was his 2nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Heroes ahead, 5-1.
"Jon -- his tempo and rhythm were good," said Heroes manager Jeremiah Simpson. "He was the key to us winning."
