The Columbus Bowsers got a sterling performance from pitcher Rey Tovar, but the Mexico City Aztecs still prevailed, 5-3. Tovar threw 6.0 innings allowing 1 run. Mexico City, at 69-34, is 8 games up in the Southern A West Division.

Mexico City used the timely hitting of Omar Snell to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Aztecs on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"It feels good to get this one," Snell told the Mexico City Bulletin.
