The Dollywood Partons knocked off the Barrie Admirals, 6-3, in Southern A action at Stadia de Leones. Dollywood pitcher and Columbus, Georgia, native Chris Welch had an outstanding performance. Andy Roberts snagged the win in relief. He goes to 1-1 on the season. Rafael Baray suffered the loss. The Southern A East Division-leading Partons are 72-26.

It could have been a different outcome for Dollywood, had it not been for Pedro Recinos, the 24-year old catcher . Recinos contributed a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put Dollywood up, 6-3.

"You've got to ride the highs and the lows in baseball in order to succeed," Recinos told the Dollywood Daily News. "Right now I'm feeling good, but that don't mean squat for tomorrow."
