Partons 9-3 Winners Over Columbus
A good performance from designated hitter Colby Freese helped the Dollywood Partons defeat the Columbus Bowsers, 9-3. Freese went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Partons. Gilberto Cortez earned the win for Dollywood. He lasted 5 innings, allowing 3 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 4. With the win, he raised his record to 13-3. The Partons improved to a lofty 74-24.

In the bottom of the 4th, Dollywood took the lead on a 2-run single by Angelo de la Cruz. At the time, the Partons were trailing 3-2, but de la Cruz's hit with two outs against Columbus pitcher Ernesto Correa put them in front, 4-3.

"We came out with clear minds and swung the bats well," said Dollywood manager Adam Freeman.
