The Mexico City Aztecs topped the Nashua Sweepers, 7-5, in Southern A action at Miller Park. The standout performance belonged to Mexico City pitcher and Albuquerque, New Mexico, native Adam Brittain. Mexico City reliever Randy Dietrich picked up the win, raising his record to 6-0. Matt Gardner was tagged with the loss. Mexico City, at 73-23, is cruising.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the ninth, with the game tied, Omar Snell was at the plate when Mexico City scored 2 on an error. The miscue enabled the Aztecs to go in front, 7-5.

"Winning never gets dull," said Brittain.
