The Nashua Sweepers had no problem beating the White Deer Tropics, 11-1, at Miller Park. Jeff May led the way. He went 3-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 5 for Nashua. Jonathan Weaver was the winner. Over 5 innings, he yielded no runs on 1 hit, with 1 walk and 4 strikeouts. The Sweepers improved their record to 34-61 with the win over White Deer.

Nashua got a lift in the bottom of the third from first baseman Jesse Lang, who hit a curveball to left for a 2-run home run. His 7th home run of the season put the Sweepers up, 2-0.

"We maximized our offense today," said Nashua skipper Tony Allen. "That makes everyone's life easier."
