Cruzgonzalez Lifts Lumberjacks to 7-5 Triumph
|
Gilberto Cruzgonzalez powered the Bangor Lumberjacks to a win over the White Deer Tropics. The final score was 7-5. The Bangor center fielder was phenomenal. He stroked 2 extra-base hits, including 1 home run and 1 double. Pedro Tello wrapped it up, recording his 7th save. The Lumberjacks improved their record to 49-46 by beating White Deer.
Bangor took a 7-5 lead on Cruzgonzalez's 8th home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which he hit off Nate Roberson in the bottom of the sixth, propelled Bangor to the win.
"Our approach was just to try to see something over the plate and be aggressive," Cruzgonzalez told the Bangor Today.
