Bobcats Reel Off Another Win
|
The Walnut Park Bobcats topped the Quebec Fighting Quakers, 4-2, in Stripes Conference action at Ballpark of Walnut Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Walnut Park pitcher Jason Seymour. Seymour, now 2-2, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 4, walking 1, and allowing 2 runs. The Bobcats move to 58-38 with the win, while the Fighting Quakers drop to 42-54.
Chris Lutz, the Walnut Park right fielder, contributed a 2-run single in the bottom of the third inning to make the score 3-1, Bobcats. For the game, Lutz was 2 for 4 with a double, while adding 3 RBI.
"When their pitchers are leaving stuff over the heart of the plate, we're not missing it," said Walnut Park manager Hua Pian.
