Starting pitcher Roy Doub gave the Hickory Crawdads a rock-solid performance, helping his team defeat the Ann Arbor Z's, 3-1, at Crawdad Park. Doub, now 7-4, was the winner. In 5.2 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 4, walking 2, and allowing 1 run.
