Alfano Launches 2 Dingers, But Ann Arbor Wins
Jeremy Alfano had a good game, but he could not keep the Hickory Crawdads from falling, 5-4, to the Ann Arbor Z's at Crawdad Park. The Hickory third baseman went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice in the loss. Jason Washington picked up his 17th save of the season. The win puts Ann Arbor at 35-59.

Ann Arbor used a timely hit from Brian LaFollett to get the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Z's ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.

Ann Arbor manager Bryan Gallegos called it "a good, solid win."
