Indians Nudge Past Oaks, 3-2

The Orono Oaks could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Bill Frazer into a win. Instead, the Dillonvale Indians prevailed, 3-2. Frazer threw 6.0 innings allowing 1 run. Bill Roderick picked up the win in relief for Dillonvale, while Tim Kondas took the loss. Brandon Williams closed out the game, earning his 2nd save.
Paul Morgan delivered a big hit for Dillonvale. The pinch hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Indians ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.
Morgan told reporters after the game: "Close wins always feel extra good."
Yes, it was a win for Dillonvale; but their 28-66 record is still nothing to boast about.
