Walnut Park got a terrific game from second baseman Ken Kirkland. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to New Rochelle, 7-6. Kirkland was 2 for 5 with 2 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. New Rochelle is now 44-49, Walnut Park 50-43.

New Rochelle got a clutch hit from Travis Stroupe. The shortstop launched a solo home run in the bottom of the 14th inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.

Stroupe described the clubhouse as "kind of rowdy" after the game.
