Bruins Send New Rochelle Home with 7-3 Loss
|
In the 7-3 Westwood win over New Rochelle, the impact of Joel Patrick was substantial. Patrick, who is tied for 10th in the StC in home runs with 12, was 3-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Alpha Fields snagged the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit over 3 innings. He's now 2-0 on the season. Westwood now sits at 54-38, while New Rochelle falls to 44-48.
The Bruins got a big hit from second baseman Paul Tetzloff. In the bottom of the sixth, Tetzloff smacked a 2-run home run off New Rochelle pitcher Kyle Griffin. It was his 18th home run of the season. Suddenly, the Bruins were ahead, 4-3.
"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Patrick.
