Purple Wave Suffer 6-2 Loss to Westwood
Riding the 3-hit performance of the 21-year old right fielder Tim Gregg, the Westwood Bruins defeated the New Rochelle Purple Wave, 6-2. Jonathan Marich earned the win, while fireballing right-hander Ray Mendoza took the loss for New Rochelle. The win for the Bruins raised their record to 53-38.

Jon Wagner had a big 2-run double for the Bruins in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Westwood leading 4-2 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a fastball from Sean Harris and swatted a double to left. It was his 11th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Bruins ahead, 6-2.

"There's never a lack of effort in our clubhouse. We're willing to do the little things to get the win," Wagner told the Westwood Today.
