The Orono Oaks withstood a fine game by Ann Arbor first baseman Hunter Schalow at University of Maine Stadium, to upend the Z's, 6-2. Schalow hit 2 home runs. Jeff Weingart went 6.1 innings for Orono to pick up the win. The right-hander was charged with 2 runs. He scattered 7 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 8. His record improves to 10-4. Orono, having won 11 in a row, is now 60-31.

Jay McBurney took Ann Arbor hurler Mike Medley deep in the bottom of the third. His 2-run home run put the Oaks on top, 2-1. In all, McBurney had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
