Denver Charts 4-3 Win Over Spokane
|
The Denver Pilots electrified the crowd with a walk-off win.
The Denver Pilots had to overcome a fine effort from Spokane pitcher Derek Sigers to win, 4-3, at Pilots Ballpark. Sigers went 7.2 innings and allowed 1 run. With the win, Denver upped its record to 48-45.
The decisive blow was delivered by Jim Franz in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off 26-year old left-handed pitcher Tyler Doss to win the game for Denver. The home crowd went nuts.
"It's great when the crowd goes berserk," Franz said.
